General description
The problems of system modelling and control will be considered: mathematical model building via physical laws or by identification, system analysis and controller design. Models of linear dynamic systems: state-space model, transfer function, frequency and time responses, signal flow graphs. System analysis: controllability, observability and stability. System identification: least-squares method, correlation and frequency analysis. Control systems design: PID-control, root locus, frequency response analysis and design. Modal and optimal control, robust and adaptive control. Fuzzy models and intelligent control systems.
This course gives a brief overview of system modelling and control problems. Using MATLAB tools some simple examples for system identification, analysis and design will be studied.
