Network hierarchies and the decomposition of network based on the reference model. Main parameters of physical and channel layer and combining them with network parameters. Structures of telecommunication networks, generic cabling standards of computer networks. Routing in telecommunication networks, ensuring the reliability of the network layer. Protocol of the network layer of IP-based networks. Organisation of data transmission and transmission protocols. Network applications, the most important protocols of the application layer of the network model and set-up of protocol and collaboration between layers of protocols.
The structure of the course is based on the first-term materials of Cisco CCNA.
